Goodland Apple

Goodland is an early-bearing popular multi-use apple that’s great for fresh eating and processing. Makes a wonderful applesauce or pie.

The apples have light green washed skin with red blush. It has a white flesh that is crisp, juicy, tender and slightly aromatic. A good-sized apple, averaging 6 to 9 cm (3.5") in diameter can get bigger if properly thinned. Fruit can be harvested from late August to late September, the longer you wait the sweeter the apples become. They can keep up to 4 months in storage. 

The Goodland Apple is known to be precocious (early bearing) and can develop fruit around three years of age. Introduced by the Morden Research Station in 1953.

Growers Note: Try planting in a sheltered location as during some colder winters Goodland can have some winter injury.
