Lee #17 Apple
Lee #17 Apple
Lee #17 is known as one of the best flavourful and very hardy apple varieties bred by the late Lloyd Lee of Barrhead, Alberta. Selected out of thousands of apple trees grown from seed at his experimental orchard. It is believed to be a cross between the Carroll and Wolf River apple.
The Lee #17 makes a wonderful eating apple. Sweet, tart and juicy, they can grow to a large size sometimes pushing over 10 cm (4") in diameter. Great for fresh eating, juicing and using for pies. Ripens in early September and keeps for two months in cold storage.
A great choice for growers looking for a larger flavoured apple!
