Minnesota #447 Apple

 Minnesota #447 is a great apple for snacking and is popular with our family. Its unique flavour profile similar to sugarcane and molasses has a one-of-a-kind taste. Its bright yellow-green colour with red overlay makes it a beauty, while its sweet, juicy and crunchy flesh make it irresistible!

It's the parent of well-known apples like Honeycrisp and Sweet Sixteen. Late September to early October is the perfect time to harvest this apple - they tend to be slightly small (around 5-6 cm or 2") but their excellent keeping qualities allow them to be stored all winter. They also make top-notch cider and juices!
