Northline Saskatoon
Northline Saskatoon
The Saskatoon Berry Pie favourite!
The Northline Saskatoon berry has been a long-time favourite that’s been growing across the prairies for over 50 years. These richly flavoured berries have a perfect sweet and tart balance. Berries are larger sized at 16 mm (1/2") and ripen around the middle of July. They will grow into a shrub up to 10 feet tall.
Northline Saskatoon produces many large clusters of berries and is a favourite choice to use in Saskatoon pies. Popularly used for U-picks and commercial production. Begins to produce fruit around three to five years of age. Released by Beaverlodge Research Station in 1960.
Saskatoon Berries make a fantastic addition to your food forest, edible shelter belt and orchards. This berry is high in antioxidants and can last you throughout the winter if frozen. A must-have!
